Created in three weeks for the Spooktober 6th Annual Visual Novel Jam
Estranged from your parents, you leave home in search of a new life. Things seem to be looking up when you find work at an old inn. As an employee, you're tasked with all sorts of work: maintaining the front desk, cleaning guest rooms, and tidying up the baths. After a co-worker unexpectedly quits, your main job is now in the kitchen working close with the owner, Mr. Tokuri, whose famous soup is "to die for."

My RPGs were made in RPG Maker 2 for the PS2. They've sadly been lost to time. I have a copy of RPG Maker VX Ace, though. Maybe I'll give it a try sometime!

This was great! I really liked the art style and visuals. The time lapse of the statue out front getting worse and worse during the ending really stood out as as being good. (SPOILERS) The twist of the secret ingredient really got me! I was expecting it to be cannibalism, but this actually managed to creep me out more. The story on the first night about the circus performer totally caught me off guard as well in its creepiness. That, the MC's hunger, and the empathy the MC showed really made the character likeable and made me root for them.

Oh, this was wonderful, the story was great, the writing, loved the visuals but how absolutely darling to make it so easy to go for the different endings. It makes trying out for other endings so much more fun!
I really hope, you stick with horror, you have a great distinct style, both visually and story-wise.

I watched your video—I love the voice you did for Mr. Tokuri!
The visuals had a lowpoly/low resolution computer feel to it. This was weird (in a good way) and wayyyy too short. I NEED MORE LORE. I got all the endings and have so many questions I need answered. Where did the inn go? What exactly is in the fridge? And does that woman's disappearance at the beginning of the game have anything to do with the soup's recipe??
